How to open a UDL file
Most all applications are still 32-bit and will most likely be for a long time. In some cases you may need to open the applications UDL file. If the application is a 32-bit and the operating system is 64-bit, you will need to run a command to open the Data Link Properties window.
Must be on the computer that the file is on that you wish to open.
We’ll need to execute the command below from a command line or Start/Run :
C:\Windows\syswow64\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\Ole DB\oledb32.dll",OpenDSLFile C:\test.udl
BEFORE you enter, you must change one part to point to YOUR .UDL file and the the C:\test.udl.
Once this is changed, the Data Link Properties window will open.
