New capabilities will allow the users to view reports before printing. The users will have ability to View any report stored in AutoStream repository before printing - what you see is what you get as print out. With AutoStream v4.6.0 implementation, the users can print to any of their desktop printers, either directly connected or network configured. AutoStream customers with users in the range between10 and 5000 have been saving substantially while printing Oracle reports with or without embedded UTF-8 Characters, barcodes, digital signatures and attachments, etc.
Print any report from the applications to any printer, including special printers for labels, barcodes and checks. The reports may be Oracle standard reports or custom developed using any formatting tool, including Oracle XML Publisher. Moreover, AutoStream provides enhanced security for printing reports from everywhere. The new AutoStream version tracks and logs all the printing activity by the users. Users print confidential reports to their local printer instead of a common printer where the chances of exposing the confidential reports to others are high.
This release enhances configuration features and brings rich set of new features. The new features include printing attachments, any type and number, without users having to spend additional time for printing these attachments. The attachments may be Word, Excel, PDF, GIF, TIFF, HTML, etc.
