GOGLOBAL26 GO-Global How Sessions are counted
Qustion:
Getting message when attempting to login into the GO-Global Server, license limits have been reached
Answer:
Message indicating license limits have been reached could be from the following:
1. GO-Global counts "sessions" as follows. If you access the desktop, and then run one or more applications, that counts as ONE session (license usage). If you enter GO-Global via a link or shortcut and access a single application, then that is ONE session. If you enter directly in an application from a link and do this for several applications, then you are using one license (session) per application. If users access multiple applications, then it is best (fromt he point of view of licenses) to initially access the GO-Global desktop, then run the applications desired.
2. In the GO-Global cluster manager, there is a setting under tools, server options, session shutdown, "disconnected sessions terminate " and three options. If you do not say 'immediately' then the session is active until the time you determine to let it open.... and it occupies one of your licensed spots.
