HelpDesk4 and MSSQL

Question:

How do I move my HelpDesk4 ACCESS database format to MSSQL database format?

If you purchased HelpDesk, this is a paid module. If you have paid for the module, please proceed to download and convert.

If you are evaluating HelpDesk, the evaluation is ACCESS only.  There is no difference in features from ACCESS vs. SQL. The only difference is the database structure.

Note... This does NOT include the MSSQL Server O/S.  You must obtain the full version MSSQL Server O/S 2000, 2003 or 2005.  Does NOT work with SQL Lite versions.

Requirements:

You must already have installed and configured a FULL version of MSSQL  O/S.

Versions 2000 with sp3

Version 2003 SBS

Version 2005

Answer:

Please see attached for instructions.

Applicable to Helpdesk 4.0 and 4.1 only:

TIP  Depending on the type of SQL Server you purchased, it is sold either by processor (unlimited connections) or by client.  If its purchased by client then you will need a MSSQL client license for each Helpdesk client.   If its purchased by processor then you do not need to worry about the number of clients accessing the SQL server.
