40_TIP0008 EFatal Configuration Error unable to logon to
Problem:
Running ACT! 2005 or 2006, attempts logon or configuration to contact manager, returns error
EFatal Configuration Error. Unable to logon to contact manager
Cause:
.NET 1.1 framework is missing or corrupted.
Solution:
Download and install .NET 1.1 framework from Microsoft's website. Try your logon again (.NET 1.1 Framework MUST be installed on each computer that a HelpDesk Client is installed) If the install returns a message, the files are already installed, then proceed with the following solution.
Unzip the attached TSHD4Config.zip file.
Save the HDConfig4.exe.config into your \HelpDesk4\Server\Configuration folder.
Save the TSHD4.exe.config into your \HelpDesk4\Server folder.
Save the TSHD4.exe.config into your local client \program files\helpdesk 4.0 client folder.
