Crystal Reports Export Button Not Functioning

Tech Tip:

When you click on the "export" button after running a report, nothing happens.  This is likely due to Crystal Reports looking for the necessary export DLL files in the wrong location. To resolve this, please do the following:

1) Browse to your "C:\Windows\Crystal" directory (or "C:\WinNT\Crystal" for earlier Windows versions).

2) Copy the entire contents of this directory.

3) Paste the copied files from the "Crystal" directory above to your "C:\Windows\System32" directory (or "C:\WinNT\System32").

4) Restart HelpDesk, re-run the report, and try exporting once more.


Crystal Reports 8.5 is supported in HelpDesk version 3.0, 3.1, 3.2.0

Crystal Reports XI is supported in HelpDesk version 3.2.1 and 4.0.0


HelpDesk version 4.0.0 will be the last version supported to access / run Crystal Reports from within HelpDesk, Report menu.
