.NET 1.1 required for HelpDesk 3.x and 4.0.0

ACT Tech Tip:


Running ACT! 2007, 2008 or 2009 and installing Tele-Support HelpDesk .


Open Inquiry displays ####### signs where contact data should be displaying.


ACT! 2007 & 2008 & 2009 uses .NET 2.0 framework.  However, Tele-Support HelpDesk needs to provide a backward compatibility path and requires .NET 1.1 framework.


Since HelpDesk has no way to determine your version of ACT!, the solution is to download and install the .NET 1.1 framework onto each client workstation, if you do not already have it installed.


If the workstation that will run HelpDesk and does NOT have the required .NET 1.1 framework, you can download from the Microsoft website     www.microsoft.com/downloads
