Technical Notice moving Tele-Support HelpDesk to a new server
If you have an existing licensed Tele-Support HelpDesk and are going to move to a new server, this will require a REHOST service.
Rehost Policy: Annual maintenance contracts allow Licensee to obtain two (2) changes of Host ID during maintenance year at no additional cost. Additional changes of Host ID within any maintenance year will require a payment of 30% of the original license fee. By submitting a request to REHOST you are indicating at such time as you began to use the new license files on the 'New System', you will stop using the old license file(s), complete the deactivation (required) and remove the software and license file(s) from the original server AFTER the deactivation
Rehost Policy NO maintenance contract: There will be a service fee of $125 to rehost your license and a deactivation is required. If you are unable to process a deactivation, the service fee is $250.
A Rehost is to the SAME HelpDesk database. When your HelpDesk was licensed, a unique database ID is locked. A Rehost license will NOT function on a new / blank database
Rehost request with NO maintenance have a limit of four (4) request. After the 4th request, the rate is based on a % of the current cost of the license.
Rehost are available for Tele-Support HelpDesk version 3.2.1, 4.0.0, 4.1.0 and 4.1.1.
