GO-Global Client Connections

GO-Global has multiple ways and operating systems that can be used to connect to the GO-Global application server.

Some common ones are:
     Active-X Client
     Native Desktop Client
     Java Client

Active-X Client
The Active-X client is for use with Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (and is the suggested one to use for the "Test Drive". When a user lands on the GO-Global application server for the first time, they will be asked to install an "Active-X" client. Accepting this will perform a "one time install" of the client and then take them directly to either a GO-global desktop or directly to an application (depending on how the link was configured). The actual Active-X program installed by GO-global was dispensed from the GO-Global server. This requires port 80 to be open to reach the IIS web page and port 491 to be open for GO-global to communicate.

Native Desktop Client
The native desktop client is a separate client that comes with GO-Global that can initially be dispensed via a web link from a company's web site or by any means desired. It is installed on any client workstation and can be configured with the GO-Global server name as well as other parameters such as programs to run and Windows login information. This requires only port 491 to be open on the server. Once installed, this client can be represented by a configured desktop shortcut icon.

For "Test Drive" purposes, if you'd like to retrieve the " Native Desktop Client", you may get it here. Download and run the client software to use for your "Test Drive".

To access our Demo Server from this native Windows client, install and run the client install program, then enter www.chanceofalifetime.com as the target server.

Java Client
For special situations....  At the airport or hotel using a kiosk or public computer.... or at a client site where firewall doesn't allow ANY type of client install at all, then try the Java 'signed' no client solution. Not quite as fast, not quite as versatile, but it get's the job done. Java unsigned.
